Why did you choose to study in this college?

I really enjoyed studying Economics for the Leaving Cert and wanted to further my education in it. I am also interested in the Law and I thought that I would enjoy a Law course. I would have prefered to study Economics and Law in UCD but I didn't get the points so am doing Economics, Politics and Law in DCU.

Are you happy with your choice of course?

Yes

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

I think that it is the right course for me because I enjoy the work and subjects in it and am able to keep up with it.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week?

11-15hrs

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

On

Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams?

Continuous assessment

Is there an option to study abroad on your course?

Yes

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

I enjoy doing group work with other people from college. My favorite classes are the ones where you really need to pay attention in and listen because otherwise they end up being boring.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

Some of the lectures are very monotonous and since most of the information that they go through is available on the internet there may not be adequate incentives in going to lectures

Was your course what you expected?

No

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

I wish I had known how few hours we had and that there is a lot of responsibility on doing your own personal work with little support

Why?

It is very hard to find the relevant books when they are in high demand, such as when assignments are due in or coming up to the exams

Rate your course in terms of difficulty

Easy

Please rate your course in terms of workload

Less than other courses

Why do you enjoy being a member of this society? why should a prospective student think of joining this society?
