Why did you choose to study this course?

I chose my course on an interest based level. The diversity in multimedia really appeals to me and also CIT is close to home which means i'm not spending money on accommodation/food etc

Are you happy with your choice of course?

Yes

On reflection, what made it the right or wrong choice for you?

What made it the right choice for me is firstly because the course content is really diverse and covers a huge area of interests and skills. Also CIT has a wonderful community spirit which I have had the privilege of being a part of.

How many hours of organised classes do you have per week?

21-25hrs

Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus?

On

If off campus, does this effect you and how?

Continuous assessment

Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams?

Yes

What are your favourite aspects of your course?

My favourite aspects are : - There is much focus on Teamwork which is vital especially in the field of Multimedia. - The content is varied and diverse. We study everything from design, coding, video tech, sociology and many other areas.

What are your least favourite aspects of your course?

Continual assessment has its ups and downs, more ups mind you. Many of the assignments are due in in the latter stages of the semesters which puts alot of pressure on.

Was your course what you expected?

Yes

What do you wish you had known before choosing this course?

I wish I had known the equipment I'd have needed for the course. Its pretty impossible to do anything in the course without owning a Macintosh computer. I had to use most of my grant money to try and pay for one.

Why?

There is a great selection of resources available and the library system runs well. I do however have issues with the level of noise in the library when you are trying to study. It's easier to have headphones in when studying in there :/

Please describe

Social aspect is great. Multimedia people in general tend to come from a realyl really varied background. We get to mix with other years quite a bit in shared modules and we get to have class parties quite regularly too.
