Why did you choose to study this course? |
I really enjoyed accounting and business studies for the leaving cert. When i was in transition year we had a law day where a barrister came in and showed us how the law system worked and i really enjoyed that. |
Are you happy with your choice of course? |
No |
Why |
The law you study in first year is the law of contract and criminal law. I found the law of contract quite tedious and it was quite boring at times and i just didnt find it interesting. Criminal law however can be quite interesting but a serious amount of work is needed with it. My advice to anyone who really just wants to do accounting should just do business as we do the exact same accounting and economics with them but they do other topics like behaviour analysis while we have law lectures. |
How many hours of organised classes do you have per week? |
11-15hrs |
Are your lectures/labs mainly based on or off the main campus? |
On |
Is your course weighted more on continuous assessment or end of year exams? |
End of year exams |
What are your favourite aspects of your course? |
The accounting and economics interested me a lot but really i think the law really isnt for me. |
What are your least favourite aspects of your course? |
The law side of things especially law of contract. Some of the things can be interesting, I dont want to put anyone off law because i know that the majority do enjoyable but yet again a lot of work is needed at it. |
